How Rare Is the Argan Oil

In News 0 comments

Morocco produces around 4,000 to 5,000 tons of pure argan oil per year (cosmetic and culinary combined). Let’s break that down:

1. Volume in liters:

  • 1 ton = 1,000 kg

  • 1 liter of argan oil weighs approx. 0.92 kg

  • So 1 ton = ~1,087 liters

  • Therefore, 5,000 tons = ~5,435,000 liters

2. If packed in 30ml bottles:

  • 1 liter = 33.33 bottles of 30ml

  • 5,435,000 liters x 33.33 = ~181 million 30ml bottles

So Morocco’s total production could supply:

~181 million clients per year, assuming each gets one 30ml bottle.

BUT — that's theoretical max. Real availability is way lower due to:

  • Culinary use (a big chunk is for food)

  • Non-pure blends sold

  • Fake or diluted products in circulation

  • Loss during processing and bottling

So in reality, the market for truly pure, cold-pressed 30ml cosmetic argan oil is much smaller and more exclusive. That’s what makes our product valuable.
